FAWM is over ... now what!?

Hello friends,

FAWM stands for February Album Writing Month, it is a global friendly challenge where you try to write 14 songs in the February. It sounds daunting, but its actually a really great creative exercise. It doesn’t have to be full length songs, it could be just lyrics, or just music, you can collaborate with other on the site, or in real life if you have other friends who are doing it.

I tend to think of it as a great way to workshop song ideas, I have only completed the full 14 songs only twice, but not recently. Last year 2024 I wrote 3 songs, this year 2025 I wrote 5 songs. Then I have the 24 songs that I had created from my previous FAWM adventures.

As you know, I’m a big fan of themes, and the 2025 songs that I did are themed, I listen to the old and the new, and I found that there are some really neat gems in there, so my idea is, I can sift through them, pick a few that I really like, and polish them up for a nice little album.

I will keep you posted for sure, and I hope you get inspired to write something yourself.
